Golf 

- For those of you who don't consider it a vacation unless you get at least one good round of golf in,Taupo has six courses in the region. A member of the Distant Waters staff will arrange a round of golf at any of Taupo's fine courses. Try the magnificent Wairakei International Golf Course (par 72). It's been said to have reduced grown golfers to tears. Fine-tune your game at Centennial, the toughest Par 3 in New Zealand. If a slow paced game is more what you're looking for, visit Tauhara, the easier and more social course has thermal vents covered with mounds of rocks. Regardless of which golf course you choose, don't forget to bring the camera!
